We offer a wide range of dental services to treat a variety of conditions - in fact, we can usually provide all your dental services without referring you to a specialist! We take pride in providing complete, total, and preventative care. Our services include:

Dental Examination

We'll conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and gums, looking for any current or potential problems. This may include measurements, photos, or x-rays, and we'll use the information we gather to make a diagnosis and recommend potential treatment options. We'll also give you detailed instruction on proper oral hygiene to help care for your teeth and prevent any future issues.

Routine Cleanings

We recommend scheduling a cleaning with us about two times a year. We'll perform a thorough, complete cleaning of your teeth, removing plaque from places that are hard to reach and applying fluoride to help protect your teeth when you leave.

Fillings

If you have damaged or decayed tooth structure, a filling is a great way to restore the integrity and appearance of your tooth. We can provide multiple types of fillings, including:

  • Silver Amalgam: These are less common than they used to be, but are a strong and inexpensive solution for some patients.
  • Gold: These are extremely durable, lasting up to 15 years. Gold is a precious metal, though, so these fillings are expensive.
  • White: We can also use a tooth-colored composite that bonds directly to the tooth, restoring most of the original shape. We can even color-match the filling to your teeth, providing you the most natural looking smile possible.

Crowns

Dental crowns are custom-made coverings that cover and protect an original tooth that's damaged or decayed. We can make crowns from porcelain, gold, acrylic resin, or a composite material. Typically, the procedure for receiving a crown goes like this:

  1. We numb the tooth, then we remove any decayed sections around it.
  2. We re-sculpture the tooth, helping create a perfect fit for the crown.
  3. We'll make an impression of the tooth, either physical or digital, then use it to manufacture your own custom crown.
  4. We'll fit you with a temporary crown of acrylic resin to protect the tooth while your custom crown is manufactured.
  5. Once ready, we'll bring you back in to remove the temporary crown and fit the permanent one.

Thanks to advances in dental technology, modern crowns are stronger and more natural looking than ever. Once complete, we'll give you instructions on caring for your crown. With the right care, it'll last the rest of your life!

Bridges

A bridge is a special dental appliance that fills the space left by a missing tooth. These can be necessary to prevent teeth from shifting, correct bite problems, or protect the integrity of surrounding teeth. We can provide a variety of bridges to suit different situations:

  • Fixed Bridges: These are composed of a filler tooth between two crowns, which hold the bridge in place.
  • Maryland Bridges: These generally replace missing front teeth, and use tooth-colored metal bands, bonded to surrounding teeth, to hold the bridge in place.
  • Cantilever Bridges: This is similar to a fixed bridge, but instead of the bridge being between the two crows, it's on the end, so the crowns are on the same side of the bridge. These are commonly used to replace end molars.

Root Canals

Perhaps the most infamous procedure in dentistry, we think root canals don't deserve their bad reputation. This procedure consists of extracting decayed tissue inside a tooth, reshaping the root canal, and replacing it with a strong, biocompatible filler. In the end, root canals actually prevent discomfort: without them, decay to the nerve cells in the root can cause severe pain and extensive damage.

Usually, we can complete root canals in just a single visit - although for some cases we'll need to bring you in for another appointment. Once finished, you can easily drive yourself home.

Extractions

An extraction is the complete removal of a tooth, and is also referred to as "pulling" a tooth. These can be necessary when

  • Primary teeth are in the way of a permanent tooth's eruption
  • A tooth has suffered extensive, irreparable decay
  • Severe gum disease has compromised the tooth's integrity
  • The tooth has become impacted - this is exceedingly common for wisdom teeth

We can perform extractions surgically or non-surgically depending on the severity and complexity of the case. Regardless, we'll administer a mild anesthetic to make sure you're comfortable during the procedure.
