Helping Denver Families Avoid Overly Sugary Snacks This Season
October is here and that means Halloween is right around the corner! We know that during this time of year it's difficult to minimize our candy intake, so Gentle Smiles of Colorado wants to introduce three dental friendly snacks that are fun to make for you and your family. Take a break from the sugar rush and enjoy these tasty snacks!
Apple Spiders

- Carefully slice the apples into circles, so that each apple will produce 4 even slices for the spider body.
- Cut the fruit leather in half and slice 5 pieces lengthwise for the legs
- Spread 1 teaspoon of almond butter on an apple circle and attach 8 strips of fruit leather to give the spider legs.
- Place another apple circle over the almond butter and fruit leather to finish the body and place two mini chocolate chips for the eyes.
